Restaurantes Mexicanos Any – An Amazing Story
My good friend Jose Ramon and his wife Ana have a vision of promoting Mexican culture while representing the authentic flavor of their regional food. That vision is reflected in their beautiful restaurant, Restaurantes Mexicanos Any.
Located in the wonderful port of Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Mexico, the restaurant opened its doors for the first time nearly 30 years ago, beginning by offering tamales and atoles, and adding more delicious dishes throughout the years.
Restaurantes Mexicanos Any has become a local icon of Mexican food, an achievement reached by Jose Ramon and Ana through great effort, dedication, and passion for their origins. Naturally, they take great pride in providing an excellent experience for each of their guests.
“We keep learning day by day,” Jose Ramon says, “with many falls, but always having the strength to get back up again. We do what not everyone is willing to do—sacrifice, stay disciplined, value teamwork. Working more than eighteen hours a day is exhausting, but at the end, you feel the pleasure of being able to SERVE, SERVE, SERVE! That is an invaluable satisfaction.”
I remember visiting the restaurant in early 2017, the winter weather making the hot Mexican dishes even more inviting. Jose Ramon and Ana were splendid hosts, offering a delicious dish of enchiladas garnished with aromatic rice and beans. Obsessed with the avocado, I dove into the layers of creamy green flesh.
As if that wasn’t enough of a flavor boost, the waitress also came to our table with a succulent chicken mole tamale, the texture and flavor, so unique!
The atmosphere of the restaurant and the presentation of the two dishes created a most memorable experience at the exquisite Restaurantes Mexicanos Any.
A must visit!
